App developer UK

iOS and Android apps, and the web apps that sit beside them, built with React Native and Expo.

If the product lives on a phone, it should share its data with the site rather than becoming a second system. I build the app, the account system and the web companion together.

OfflineiOS and Android

Where it hurts

  • Customers are booking by message because there is no app, and the website is doing a job it was not built for.
  • An earlier app and the website do not share accounts, so every change is made twice.
  • Store submission, sign-in and payments are the parts that keep slipping.

What you get

  • iOS and Android from one Expo codebase, including store builds.
  • Accounts, payments and offline use when the product needs them.
  • A web app on the same backend, so the work is not trapped inside the stores.

Stack

  • Expo
  • React Native
  • Supabase
  • Stripe
  • RevenueCat

What drives the cost

There is no public price list. These are the things that change the quote. After a call I send a fixed price for an agreed scope.

  • Whether you need iOS, Android, or both, and whether a web companion sits beside them.
  • Accounts, payments, and anything that has to work offline.
  • Store listings, which stay in developer accounts you own.

React Native and Expo

iOS and Android come from one Expo codebase, including the store builds. A web app can sit on the same backend, so accounts and data are not split across two products. Offline Arcade and the Martyna app are built this way.

A good fit if

  • A service that customers should book from their phone
  • A product that has to work with a poor connection
  • A web product that now needs a native app

Questions on this kind of work.

The practical ones. Pricing stays off the site and is fixed after a call.

Is it one app for iOS and Android?

Yes. I build with Expo, so both stores come from one codebase. A web companion can sit on the same backend when the product needs it.

Do you handle the App Store and Google Play?

I prepare the builds and the listing assets. You own the developer accounts. I will walk through submission with you rather than holding the accounts myself.

What if the app has to work offline?

That is a normal requirement, not an extra product. Offline Arcade is an example of data that lives on the device and syncs when a connection comes back.

How long does it take to build an app with Expo?

A small app with accounts and one main job is often a couple of months, split into weekly sprints. Store review, sign-in and payments are part of that, not a surprise at the end. The first call is where that range becomes a date.

What changes the cost of an app?

iOS and Android from one codebase is the usual shape. Accounts, payments, offline use and a web companion are what add scope. There is no public price list. After a call I send a fixed quote for an agreed first version.

Tell me what you want to build.

A few lines on the product is enough. I read every enquiry and reply myself.

  • Reply within two working days
  • Fixed quote before any work
  • You own everything
